An event castle with a knights’ hall for up to 500 persons
Located in the immediate vicinity of Linz, Steyregg Castle dominates an elevation about the city with the same name. The more than 1,000 year old walls combine tradition and the spirit of the age following an overall revitalisation. The historical rooms breathe history and are the backdrop for events or various types and sizes. Specialties are the immense knights’ hall with visible ceiling constructions, the impressive Baroque halls, the generously decorated castle chapel with its Gothic frescoes worth seeing and the rustic vaults of former wine cellars. Steyregg Castle is located in the midst of wonderful gardens: the festive Paradise Garden, the magical Terrace Garden and the elegant Arcade Garden with a view of the Alps. There is room for any celebration thinkable. Technical equipment, almost complete adaptation for the handicapped and a large car park leave no desire unanswered. The short distance to the provincial capital also makes the castle attractive for associated and evening programmes.
