The Augustine Canon Monastery St Florian is located in Upper Austria’s gentle landscape at the foot of the Alps and in the immediate vicinity of the provincial capital of Linz. The fabulous Baroque œuvre of the monastery is impressive because of the imposing monastery basilica with the famous Bruckner Organ, but also because of its expansive corridors and recommendable richly decorated rooms, for instance the Marble Hall, the library and the Imperial Room.

The St Florian Monastery provides an exciting and out-of-the-ordinary atmosphere. The seminar rooms and richly decorated rooms combine tradition, art and modern technology in an especially successful way – ideal for teaching and learning for seminars or for company or family celebrations. The Guest House offers accommodations and our restaurant offers catering tailor-made to your needs.

Leisure:

In the stylishly renovated Guest House, there are rooms for single persons, families and groups. The team of the Stiftskeller Restaurant will provide for good food and beverages. On request, guests can take part in the choral prayers of the monastery’s community; spiritual support and exercises are also possible. Concerts and tours offer an attractive cultural programme on site, and walks through the surroundings and hours of peacefulness will round your personal stay off.
Near St Florian, numerous hiking paths invite guests to discover nature at its best. From small rounds to extensive hikes, there are many sign-posted paths, for instance the Anton Bruckner Symphony, the Meditation Path and the Donausteig.

In recent years, well-known companies have organised lots of events here, for instance company celebrations for Voest alpine and Siemens VAI or events for Raiffeisen Landesbank. Not long ago, a two-day conclave for the national ÖVP was held at the St Florian Monastery.
In our seminar rooms, seminars are regularly held for the Security Academy of the Federal Ministry for Home Affairs.
